76 Marathons in all 76 UK cities in 76 days
“How can we expect a person struggling with their mental health, contemplating taking their life not to, if we don’t help them find a reason to live”.
Josh has been in that place before, and knows what the feeling is like. He feels very fortunate to have come out of it, and to have found his reason. On February 27th, 2023, Josh will attempt to become the first person in history to run a marathon in all 76 cities of the UK consecutively. Since his first physical challenge in 2018, it feels like the past 5 years testing his limits, have been a build up in preparation for what will be his biggest of them all.
The R41M run showcases a strong message to all that witness it, that no matter what you may be faced with, no matter how hard it may be, there will be times you’ll want to give up, the tunnel may seem endlessly dark, but through sheer resilience and determination to push through, you’ll eventually see the light. Running the entirety of the UK gives Josh the best possible chance of connecting with as many people as possible, and delivering that message to those that need it most.
Everybody born on this earth deserves to be happy, and live a fulfilled life. Unfortunately not everyone has a positive, or supportive environment to enable that. Josh understands the value a single conversation can have on a person’s welfare. An accessible lifesaving phone call to a person can be the difference between life and death, and that positive start to a brighter future.
You’re not the only person to feel like this, nor will you be the last, the decisions you make today can impact the people of tomorrow. Your struggles become your strengths over time, those strengths are what will inspire the next generation.
No one on this earth is without a mark left from life, it’s your decision how you perceive them, and showcase them to the world. Josh’s marks have become a badge of honor, something he wears openly with pride, knowing the positive change that can come from doing so. Positive change can be achieved alone, but an even greater impact can be achieved together.
“If you want to go fast, go alone; if you want to go far, go together”.
Josh believes in-order to achieve substantial change, we have a greater chance in successfully achieving this together.
The records are something to be personally proud of, but above all the value of this challenge for Josh, is that you’re not alone, you’re capable of more than you know, you deserve to be happy, your life should be fulfilling, you deserved to be loved, and to feel loved by the people around, and that there is support for you in times of need.
