Josh started with a singular challenge, unaware it would turn into a journey – the ride of his life. Josh is finding purpose on this voyage, he is helping communities and most importantly, Josh is increasing awareness of mental health, vulnerability and the strength within all of us. This journey is far from over.
I want to know that I’ve put more into the world than I’ve taken out. This is my chance to repay people out there less fortunate than I to give them the chance that I was lucky enough to get.
The Road to 1 million will be the biggest challenge Josh has set to achieve – raising 1 million pound for different communities all in the hope to touch as many people as possible. With every step, mile and challenge, Josh has wanted to support others that have faced adversities and this challenge will continue driving Josh to achieve the unimaginable. With Captain Tom raising over £12 Million, Josh is inspired to set his goals high and make a real difference to people’s lives.
Josh’s next challenge, Run for 1 Million, running 76 Marathons in 76 Cities in 76 days! Will be in partnership with the Samaritans; a charity that responds to over 10,000 calls for help a day. The Samaritan’s drive is to change the way that society thinks about suicide in addition to the services they provide – a goal that aligns with Josh’s wider mission of changing how mental health is perceived. Raising money for this incredible charity will help them answer even more calls, and be an ear for the people that need it.
